The 42nd Annual Conference of ISPA is Postponed for 2021

The New Conference Dates of ISPA 2021 are:
13 – 16 JULY, 2021 Nicosia, CYPRUS

After careful consideration of all parameters regarding the developing Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) international outbreak, the ISPA Executive Committee in collaboration with the Local Organizing Committee reviewed all options and decided to postpone the 42nd Annual Conference of the International School Psychology Association until 13 – 16 July 2021 to be held in Cyprus.

We have been closely monitoring the COVID pandemic for several weeks and have been coordinating according to the changing nature of the situation for the utmost benefit of the conference participants. The main concern that led to the difficult decision to postpone the conference is the health and safety of all participants and of our communities in light of the expanding spread of the pandemic worldwide. In addition, many governments issued strict bans on travel and restrictions on movement and gatherings, while many institutions around the world (universities, research centres and international or EU organizations) have restricted their staff’s mobility and reimbursement processes, which were also causing distress to participants.

Great care was taken to address logistical issues pertinent to the rescheduling of the conference by rolling over as many aspects as possible in order to minimize the impact on you and facilitate a smooth and convenient transition to ISPA 2021 as described here.

We understand that the decision to postpone the conference for next year might be disappointing to many. It definitely is very disappointing for us.  We apologize for any inconvenience or strain that this decision may have caused, but we feel it was a necessary one under these unprecedented circumstances. Rescheduling the conference to next year, hoping for a time of more certainty, is the best way to safeguard that all are in a position to remain attending our yearly gatherings . We hope that this decision allows everyone to address in a timely manner complications arising from the postponement of this year’s conference and to plan ahead and have the opportunity to attend the conference next year. We would like to thank you for your understanding.

All partners are fully committed to ISPA 2021 and the LOC will continue to work towards preparing an outstanding scientific and social program. Please continue to get updates on the ISPA 2021 conference through the website.
