THE ISPA AWARD 2004
LONE BJARKOW
The International School Psychology Association has great pleasure presenting an award to Lone Bjarkow in recognition of her indispensable services to the Association for more than twenty years.
Since the ISPA Central Office became officially established in 1984 in Copenhagen she has taken responsibility for developing and maintaining a system for keeping up to date records of all ISPA members. In addition, she has serviced the colloquia in Slovakia 1993, Hungary 1996 and Latvia 1998 by receiving all pre-registrations of the participants and being responsible for the associated paperwork. In relation to the colloquia in Denmark in 1986 and 2002, her creative technical abilities were of crucial importance for the smooth pre-planning and administration, in particular for the 2002-colloquium, which the Central Office had to organize at very short notice.
A further key aspect of her work with ISPA has been her role in managing the technical arrangements in preparing the printing of World Go Round. All of these important administrative assignments have to be performed in the evenings and week-ends and are not part of her regular employment.
It has been a pleasure for the Executive officers at the ISPA Central office to work with Lone Bjarkow. At all times she has made a major contribution to maintaining a friendly and positive climate in the office. Without her faithful dedication to ISPA, the Central Office would have faced difficulties in serving the Association over the past twenty years.
It is a special pleasure for me to present this award to Lone Bjarkow of behalf of ISPA as our modest and heartfelt thank you for what she has done for the Association and for your commitment to continue to support our activities.
