THE ISPA AWARD 2004

LISSI STOKLUND

The International School Psychology Association has great pleasure presenting an award to Lissi Stoklund in recognition of her indispensable services to the Association for more than twenty years.

Since the ISPA Central Office was officially established in Copenhagen in 1984 she has competently and very carefully managed the Association's accounts and every year prepared these for an external audit, for the approval of the EC and for presentation to the ISPA General Assembly. In addition, she has functioned as a very capable financial adviser for the Association and her valuable advice has been appreciated at all times. Lissi also serviced the colloquia in Slovakia 1993, Hungary 1996 and Latvia 1998 by receiving all pre-payments from the colloquia participants and organising an efficient and uncomplicated transfer of funds from the Central Office to the Local Organizing Committees. In relation to the colloquia in Denmark in 1986 and 2002 she was the competent professional who managed the budget from pre-colloquium planning until the final accounts were settled. Her ability to overview financial matters has been of crucial importance for ensuring that our accounts are in a healthy state and, in particular, for the excellent financial outcome of the 2002 colloquium. It is also important to acknowledge that these vital services to the Association have been provided in her own time and are not connected with her regular employment.

It has been a pleasure for the Executive officers at the ISPA Central office to work with Lissi Stoklund. At all times she has made a major contribution to maintaining a friendly and positive climate in the office. Without her faithful dedication to ISPA, the Central Office would have faced difficulties in serving the Association over the past twenty years.

It is a special pleasure for me to present this award to Lissi Stoklund of behalf of ISPA as our modest and heartfelt thank you for what she has done for the Association and for your commitment to continue to support our activities.
