Jean-Claude has been an active contributor to many aspects in our Association, beginning in 1979, several years before ISPA was formally founded in 1982.
He was the main organizer of the 1984 colloquium in Orleans, France. He served on the Executive Committee between the years 1985 to 1990, and as President of ISPA from 1987-1988. In these capacities he contributed invaluably to help put ISPA on a sturdy footing after the death of Cal Catterall.
Jean-Claude has served on several ISPA committees, and has made a unique contribution through his representation of ISPA at UNESCO, where the Association attained NGO-membership status.
He is probably better known than any other ISPA member, and well respected beyond our more narrow inner circles.
This
award is a small token of our deep appreciation and thanks to Jean-Claude for
all he has done for ISPA over the last twenty-five years as an advocate of our
goals and as an ambassador for our mission.
